P-EBT cardDue to school closure related to COVID-19, children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals can get up to $365 in food benefits. These food benefits will be issued in the form of a Pandemic-EBT card and can be used just like a debit card for food and groceries. Families with children who receive Cal-Fresh or Medical benefits should automatically receive their card in the mail between May 12th - May 22nd. Families with children who are eligible for free or reduced-priced meals, that do not receive their P-EBT card in the mail by May 22nd, must apply online before June 30th to receive these benefits. The online application will be available on May 22nd at ca.p-ebt.org.
Please note that the P-EBT card will be issued in addition to the free grab & go meals served at our Point Loma and Chula Vista campuses on Monday's. Families who qualify for the P-EBT card are encouraged to continue to participate in High Tech High's grab & go meal services.
For more information on P-EBT benefits, please visit the Department of Social Services Webpage or review the P-EBT Flyer attached.
