Staff Spotlight - 

HTH Spanish teacher Sofia Tannenhaus has inspired her students to learn more

about their family histories through documenting a

recipe that has significance to them. Students produced a

cooking video and gave a 3-minute presentation. They

investigated how their family recipe tells a story of who

they are, where they’re from, and what their family cares

about.

Ashlen and Shawn, the new SEDS (Social Emotional Development Specialist) team at HTH, introduced parents to mindful activities and explained how they support our students.

10th grade HTH Math teacher Sarah Strong and her students will be hosting our first Public Math Lesson Study event on November 7th from 9am-5pm located in the Forum at the High Tech High Graduate School of Education.

College News 














College Day - Friday, Nov. 9th. Students will visit colleges in San Diego and Los Angeles with their advisories. Watch for details coming from your student's advisor.



College Visits this week: Colorado College, Rutgers, Brandeis, WPI, Mills, Occidental, Notre Dame, SDSU, Oregon State, Northeastern, Point Loma Nazarene,  Check Naviance for the entire list.

Girls Tennis has won league and will be competing in the Team CIF Playoffs this Tuesday vs Canyon Crest. Tennis matches are held right after school at the Barnes Tennis Center. First serve is at 3:30pm


Girls Volleyball have won league and are seeded #1 in CIF Div IV!! First Round playoff are THIS Weds Oct. 24th 7pm in the HTHGym and BRING THE STORM! Admission: Students $3, Adults $5


Boys and Girls Cross Country team is leading the pack in league.  If you haven’t been to a meet yet, then come check out how cross country competes at NTC Park by the hotel and bay. Oct 25 League meet 3:30 JV race, 4pm Varsity Race


Boys WaterPolo is fighting to stay at the top of the rankings for another bid in CIF playoffs. Come check out our home game this Friday Oct 26th vs Mira Mesa at 6:30pm at Memorial Pool- Senior Night!
