HTH Happenings This Week

Letter from HTH Director Andrew Gloag -
Dear High Tech High Students & Parents,

Similar demonstrations were seen across the globe and across many other countries and continents. George Floyd’s face is now a global symbol of a need for change.  Read more.....
Letter from ASB President Isaiah Colmanero '20 -
Dear High Tech High Students, I write this with the acknowledgment that I am my own person, and I may not have the correct words to say. HTH senior, Kyna Airriess, is one of the winners of the National Museum of Mathematics Steven Strogatz Prize for Math Communication! She made a zine based on a quote by mathematician Paul Lockhart. You can see more on their website.
11th-grade students on Margaret/Jesse/Jordan's team made a deep dive into recent history with an examination of the root causes of the 2008 Great Recession with guest speaker, Tom Egler, an attorney (and Margaret's husband) who spent years working on cases related to the fall-out from the financial crash.

Here's some work from 11th grade student Noah Borkum. Noah has created original illustrated poems for our team website "In Real Time," an interdisciplinary chronicle of this time featuring biology, math, and writing.
