Congratulations to HTH Senior Chloe Slack! She is our HTH Heisman Scholarship winner!
The Heisman Memorial Trophy is renowned for symbolizing the pursuit of excellence with integrity. The Heisman High School Scholarship, presented by Acceptance Insurance, extends the Heisman prestige to our nation’s most esteemed male and female high school seniors by recognizing and rewarding outstanding scholar-athletes who understand that the most important victories not only happen on the field, but in their schools and communities.
Students in the HTH Student Wellness Club created a list of Self Care activities that cover four areas, physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual. Which ones are you including in your daily routine? Student Wellness Club meets on Wednesdays at 3:30pm.
With distanced learning in place off campus right now, many of our students are needing more social interaction. We are not acting on behalf of the school, but rather a group of parents who would like to provide some small group social interaction for our students.  We would like to explore interest in setting up ways for students to socialize in small groups within a close geographical area and build HTH community. Please complete the following survey to express interest in participation in a small group setting. Your information will be shared with others who are interested. SLC Week: Zoom v.s. Real Life

By : Lucía C. López

Since Covid-19 everything has been altered in some way, and so has SLC’s or Student Led Conferences. The week after SLC happened, it got me thinking about how the experience has probably been way different for teachers,  students and especially first year students  so I wanted to know more. I conducted five interviews that I knew would have all different points of views. Such as teachers, new teachers, students that have been at HTH for a long time and new students.

Profiles of Interviewees:

Juli Ruff: Has been a teacher at HTH for 14 years and teaches ninth grade Humanities.

Michael Chin: First year as full-time teacher, as a tenth grade math teacher. Also is my advisor at HTH.

Student #1: Has been a student at HTH for three years, is a ninth grader.

Student #2: 9th grade student new to HTH

Student #3: 9th grade student who has been at HTH since kindergarten

SPORTS NEWS
IMPORTANT SPORTS UPDATE:
As we get closer to the Dec. 12th date to resume CIF Sports, all HTH athletes must create or update their profiles on athleticclearance.com. See below for step by step directions. If you want to play, you need to do this ASAP.

CIF Update on Calendars for the year,

Update on CIF Master Calendar

How do I sign up for HTH Athletics?

Please make sure all athletes create or update their athleticclearance.com profile. This is important so coaches can be in contact with their athletes as we begin our seasons.
Not only do all athletes need to be in athletic clearance with all their paperwork filled out and signed, they also need an updated sports physical for the 20-21 school year.  If you want to be a part of HTH Athletics please do these 2 important things as soon as possible.
