STAFF SPOTLIGHT
Patsy Forg, 11th grade student teacher and HTH alumni

Why did you choose to work in education?
I remember taking a class in college that excited me so much I found myself daydreaming about running a class just like it - and as I moved through my college education I found myself doing it more and more. I was a little slow on the uptake, but it
finally dawned on me that maybe, just maybe, my real passion lay in the idea of sharing knowledge to encourage new ideas and make others feel as excited about those ideas as me.
What are your hopes for this school year?
I hope to make meaningful connections and really engage with my time back in school!
What do you love most about HTH?
It is so clear how much the faculty really believes in the students. Never have I seen a school so dedicated to equity and student growth.
Tell us about a memory you have from high school?
My team built a tiny house inside the High Tech commons!
What do you like to do outside of school?
I'm an avid hiker and kayaker, I spend all my free time with my beautiful dogs, and I'm a hobby aquarist with many, many, many fish and aquatic plants.

STORM GIRLS BASKETBALL
The High Tech High Storm Girls’ Varsity basketball team has started off the season with wins against Gompers Prep., Mar Vista, and HTH North County. Their first home game against Mar Vista was an especially exciting comeback victory with the Storm down by 14 points at halftime. The team stormed back in the second half with tough defense and
fantastic shooting to win the game 36 - 29.

“My athletes have a strong team first attitude this season. They show up for each other and push each other to be best they can be. I’m very proud!” ~ Coach Ali

STORM BOYS BASKETBALL
From HTH Sports Journalist Jack Brooks:

The HTH Boys Varsity Basketball team started their season on November 15th against the Valhalla Norsemen. STORM had a dominant win, defeating the Norsemen 70-35. With their first six games at home, the team got hot with a 5 game win streak beating La Jolla, Foothills Christian, Ramona, and Mission Vista.

STORM GIRLS WATERPOLO
Storm Girls Waterpolo opened their season against Oceanside High School. It was a tough match, but the team played hard and scored two goals.
