HTH HAPPENINGS
Juli/Amili/Chase 9th Grade Team went to the Cabrillo Wastewater Treatment Plant to learn about the unseen things about our water systems.
Raw Sludge = SMELLY.
Half of the 10th grade Lisa-Profe-Molly team went to see the World Premiere of the play SUMO at the La Jolla Playhouse, and had a great post-show workshop with teaching artist Fernando the day after:
10th Grade students conduct experiments in Chemistry and learn how to balance equations. 
Seniors Es Rodriguez and Tony Garcia learning design process in craftsmanship for the "On our tables" project in John and Pat's team. 
To launch Project Progress, a local civic action project, 11th grade students in Margaret's class created group crests that reflected their group's values and individual strengths. In the process, students learned about the four phases of group formation: forming, storming, norming, and performing. 
Seniors in Jelena's Art Class create table runners reflecting patterns they see in the world and below, HTH parent and guest artist Michele Murphy from UCSD Crafts Center demonstrates how to do metalwork and create rings. 
USD Admission Reps visit HTH to talk about the application process and what USD has to offer. Dozens of admissions reps visit the campus every year to talk with our students. These are the reps who actually read the applications. Amazing!
