Two great college events this week! The Jesuit College Fair at HTH and APPtober event at the forum where seniors worked on their CSU applications.
FAMILY CONNECTIONS

Great meeting with families at the first Facetime with Fahima this week. Fahima talked about MAP testing, attendance, College Day and more. Next meeting with be on November 15th at 9am. Join us in person in the HTH conference room or via zoom. Register here for zoom

Amazing Farm Box Fundraiser! Our families and staff picked up fresh produce from the Yasukochi Farm and our staff got a jar of jam pick me up from the Parent Association with a label saying "you are our jam". So cute. Thank you HTH parents Jennifer Harris and Bethany O'Neill for coordinating this event.
Look for the next Farm Box Fundraiser in the spring.

We would love your help! Take a few minutes to fill out the Engagement Survey and let us know how you would like to support the school.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the annual campaign. We reached the goal of $15,000. Dollars for Doers funds staff grants which are funds that go DIRECTLY into your child’s classroom.
Grants fulfilled this month:

  • Nicholle Wyatt - grant to be used for fees for college applications
STAFF SPOTLIGHT

Grant (Profe) Castillo
10th Grade Spanish

Why did you choose to work in education?
I am working in education to expose students to a world language in hope they continue the life-long skill of learning Spanish.
What are your hopes for this school year?

I hope my students recognize the benefits of learning a language such as Spanish. In addition, I hope my students take their learning in the classroom and apply it to the real-world.
What do you love most about HTH?
I love being a part of a school culture centered around the students.
Tell us about a memory you have from high school?
My best memories from high school came from my Spanish classes. One of the many reasons why I became a Spanish teacher.
What do you like to do outside of school?
I enjoy surfing and spending time with friends and family.
What kind of music do you like? Who is your favorite artist?
If you are one of my students, ya sabes! Música Latina y Reggaeton.
