HTH PA Board Nominations 2012-2013

Dear HTH Parents:

It’s that time of year! We are accepting candidates for recommendation for the 2012/2013 HTH Parent Association Executive Board of Directors. Positions and responsibility overview are as follows:

• President (Meet monthly w/PA Board and Presidents’ Council. Act as liaison for the parent community.) 
• Vice President of Communications (Meet monthly w/PA Board and Presidents’ Council, support the President.) 
• Vice President of Community Outreach (Attend monthly PA Board meeting, act as liaison for our Latino Community.) 
• Vice President of Fundraising (Attend monthly PA Board meeting, oversee the fundraising committee.) 
• Secretary (Attend monthly PA Board meeting, take minutes.) 
• Treasurer (Attend monthly PA Board meeting, maintain and report on school finances.) 
• Parliamentarian (Attend and oversee the agenda items at monthly PA Board meetings.)

The official vote will take place at our Parent Association general meeting, the date will be forthcoming. All parents/guardians of HTH students are voting Parent Association members and may attend to cast their vote. Additional valid* nominations for the above positions may be received from the floor that evening and can be considered before voting. (*Nominations from the floor are considered valid only if the nominees previously notified the Nominating Committee in writing or in person and within the allotted open-nomination time period, that they wish to nominate themselves.)

Please be assured that in addition to these above leadership positions, there are still plenty of opportunities to fill other chair positions or to lend your support and we welcome you to do so. You will receive more information about other volunteer opportunities over the next few months from your new PA leadership.
