Dear HTH families,
One year ago today, we closed our doors and sent all of our students, teachers, and staff home. We had no idea what the future would hold. I just want to reflect on how proud I am of our HTH community. I want to thank each and every one of you for working together, supporting each other, and staying positive to create the best experience over this past year we could in the face of a historic situation. I want to express my condolences to those who have lost loved ones or job loss over the past year. I also want to appreciate how hard everyone has worked to make certain that no one in our community is left behind.
Now we are onto the next phase, the reopening phase, and I know we will carry on this positive, supportive spirit and work together. #hthpride #weareallinthistogether

Seniors! Today is the last day to submit your shirt size for the Class of 2021 senior t-shirt. It's a beautiful design by 12th-grade student Alani Bayha and the t-shirts are FREE for seniors.

Senior Parents, if you want to volunteer to help with senior activities, please add your name and email to this spreadsheet. We don't know yet what that help looks like, but we will know you are interested.

Going Back To School And Its Factors

By: HTH 9th grade journalist Lucía C. López

As the year anniversary since quarantine began comes upon us, California says it's ready to reopen its school doors. Every news station seems to be buzzing with the recent announcement, as San Diego Union-Tribune puts it, "the state's second-largest district plans to reopen schools for all grade levels the week of April 12." Many factors have come to light such as family situations, mental well being during this adjustment and the coincidence that state testing would be right around the corner.
